Last Friday we had Fia Fia Day at Grey Lynn School. The weather was rainy and cold. In class we shared our learning with our families. Some of us made a candy cane mouse to take home. When the weather cleared a little, we all went out to perform The Pohutukawa Tree as a team. We all enjoyed the teachers funky dance! It was a great day!
We are an amazing bunch of Year 2 students from Grey Lynn School. This blog documents our learning journey in 2015!

Doctor Elaine Visits Room 4
Today Dr Elaine came to visit our class to explain her role as a lung doctor. We have been learning about The Body so we were very clever at pinning the right body parts onto Spider-Man. We asked Elaine lots of questions about the body and she told us all about her job. Elaine showed us some special tools that doctors uses and we were able to try them out on each other.
Here are some photos that we took of the visit today....

Kids Can Cook
Yesterday we watched a cooking demonstration. We learnt how to cook crepes using flour, egg, milk, apple and silverbeet. Crepes come from France. Taangaroa was lucky to be chosen as the Sous Chef. He was second in charge and was able to help the master cook the crepes.

Arbor Day
Last Thursday it was Arbor Day. We went down into the forest to plant some trees with Dean. We each took turns to help put soil around the tree to help it grow. We are learning about helping plants to survive at Grey Lynn School. Here are some photos that we took of our planting experience.
